9:45 arrival in Boston Logan International Airport ; van to The Kendall Hotel, 350 Main St, Cambridge ..Brunch at Hotel

11am: visit with Haggai Goldfarb, founder and CEO of Liquid Bits at the Cambridge Innovation Ctr

~ 2 pm MIT's Culture of Innovation: A walking tour examining MIT's Organizational Culture, in particular, what might account for MIT's extraordinary success in creating value through innovation.

3:25 pm: Bathroom break (in honor of Tom Ippolito)

5:00 Distributed Leadership: Elaine Backman, MIT Sloan Leadership Center

6 pm Dinner at Hotel

Evening Free time (bedtime check: 10 pm)


8:30am: Breakfast at Hotel. Orin Davis, the first person to earn a doctorate in Positive Psychology (advisor, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi): Team flow: factors that promote healthy teamwork in both the arts and business.

10 am: Walk to MIT museum: Not your ordinary museum

~ 12:00 noon Communities of Innovation: Boston Innovation Tour. Bus tour with stops in Cambridge, with stops at Harvard University. Walk from Kendall Square to Boston Waterfront, lunch at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

1:25 pm: Bathroom break (in honor of Tom Ippolito)

3:30 pm  Synectics (Rick Harriman)   Creativity workshop: Purposeful Creativity and Creative Thinking in Organizations

5:30 pm Dinner at Think Tank (No longer flooded I think)

Evening Train hard, break easy 3v3 b-boy(/b-person), 1v1 all styles,  Enjoy an innovative new dance form -- Harvard University's first ever Break Jam (Northwest Labs, 52 Oxford St., Cambridge)


8:00am: Break dance before breakfast. You too can break dance. Lesson by Laura Freeman, president of Harvard Breakers

8:30am: Breakfast at Hotel

9:30am- 11am MIT Media Lab: Benjamin Waber presents Sensible Organizations. (Cody Sumter discusses pen-source sensing framework. Check out the Funf Journal Android App.

Lunch from Clover Food Lab

Noon-2:30pm: Continuum Innovation, Newton, MA, Innovative Design

2 pm: Bathroom break (in honor of Tom Ippolito)


3:00 pm-3:45 pm:  The MIT E-center

4-5:30 pm: Debrief trip. Discuss, especially MIT's Culture of Innovation:

5:30 pm from South Station, Boston, to Logan International Airport  (15 minute T-ride, every ten minutes)

8:30 pm Return: Departing Boston USAir 1097 PM, Arriving Phila 9:57 PM
